The Post-Cleanse Life: How to Make “Clean” a Routine

You committed; You cleansed; You conquered. (Congrats!) Now, you’re likely flying pretty high on the revitalizing rewards of optimized nutrition… or perhaps you’re feeling so great you don’t even want to come off your Beaming cleanse in the first place! Yet there’s no reason for this vibrant experience to be temporary, constrained solely to the valuable days of your cleanse program. That’s because Beaming cleanses are not a unique lifestyle unto themselves, but rather a curated reboot to get your everyday routine back on track while positioning you for peak-condition performance in the future. With this in mind, here’s how to transition yourself off of a cleanse, while launching the beginning of a long-term clean lifestyle that supports your goals.
Develop a Good Drinking Habit
“Good drinks” – aka smoothies, juices, elixirs, and of course water – are a fundamental component of every Beaming cleanse, but you certainly don’t have to be on a cleanse just to enjoy them! In fact, regular inclusion of these powerful beverages can and should become everyday healthy habits.
We all know drinking the recommended (minimum) eight cups of water a day is a paramount practice for proper hydration (which affects the function of literally every cell in your body). But beverages like smoothies and juices can ensure that you’re meeting your hydration needs deliciously while folding in layers of valuable micronutrients at the same time. These food-based fluid choices will fill you up, keep you energized, embrace the needs of your taste buds, and become a constant healthy reminder of your ongoing commitment to wellness. Aim to have at least a smoothie, juice, or elixir (or a combination of the three) every day.
Look For Green Opportunities
Without delving too deeply into the rabbit hole of biochemistry, know this: your body truly thrives on foods that help it easily maintain a slightly alkaline pH balance. And there are no other foods on the planet more effective in this alkaline influence than green foods. These ingredients – which include leafy greens like spinach and kale, edible algae like spirulina and chlorella, dietary grasses like wheatgrass and barley grass, as well as culinary sprouts and herbs such as pea shoots or parsley – are tremendously effective tools that should be folded into meals whenever and wherever possible. While you consumed a large serving of greens each day while on your Beaming cleanse program, you can easily find ways to merge green foods into your after-cleanse meals too: such as choosing a green smoothie or juice, adding handfuls of greens into a stir-fry, packing in some sprouts inside of a wrap, or even enjoying an epic salad. When eating out, look for menu items that include “something green,” and aim to incorporate these important foods frequently into your homecooked meals, too.
